About Gapsolvers

We help Android developers meet Google Play's mandatory closed testing requirement — providing real, active testers for the full 14-day window so developers can focus on their apps, not on recruiting volunteers.

Why We Exist

In November 2023, Google introduced a mandatory closed testing requirement for new personal developer accounts. Before an app can be publicly listed on the Play Store, a developer must have 12 or more real testers keep the app installed for 14 consecutive days.

The requirement is straightforward on paper. In practice, it is a genuine bottleneck. Finding 12 people who own Android phones, will follow a multi-step opt-in process, and will keep an unfamiliar app installed for two weeks — without forgetting, switching phones, or uninstalling — is harder than it sounds.

The developers who hit this wall are often solo founders and small teams who have already invested significant time building their product. The last thing they need is a two-week delay caused by volunteer management.

Gapsolvers exists to solve exactly that problem.

What We Do

We maintain a network of real Android users who participate in Google Play closed testing windows. When a developer needs testers, we:

  • Confirm the developer's Play Console setup is correct before starting
  • Provide a Google Group link that is added to the closed testing track
  • Enroll 12–20 real testers within hours of setup
  • Monitor active tester count throughout the 14-day window
  • Provide a participation log at the end, which developers can use in the production access questionnaire

Our Approach

We talk to developers before they pay. This pre-payment conversation serves a practical purpose: a misconfigured testing track, an app uploaded to the wrong track, or an incomplete store listing will cause the testing window to fail regardless of how many testers participate. We catch these issues before the 14-day window starts, not after.

Our testers are real users on real Android devices. We do not use emulators, bots, or shared device accounts. The participation we provide is the kind that satisfies Google's review criteria because it is genuine.

Pricing

We charge a flat rate per app: ₹499 in India, $9.99 internationally. This covers 12–20 testers for the full 14-day window plus the participation log. There are no hidden fees and no subscription requirements.

We keep pricing low by keeping our process efficient. The service is not complex — it is execution. And execution at this price point makes it accessible to solo developers and small teams for whom a delayed launch has real costs.
